Our RTW Journey Comes To An End

With  excitement and certainly some regret, we have concluded our trip around the world after 7+ months.

South America, Oceania, and Southeast Asia were nothing short of amazing. But there is much more out there that we wish to explore. Just not now. Missing friends and family too much has left us homesick for quite some time. And while the road has taught us many lessons, it has a way of wearing a person down.  Looking back, we would make the same decision to learn about ourselves and the world again. 

We arrive at Chicago O’Hare on April 14th after securing a $892 one-way flight on Asiana from Bangkok. Our remaining time will be spent at Palm Tree Orphanage. Who knows, maybe after a month back in the good old USA we will be refreshed and ready for a second leg!

Ashley and I would like to thank everyone who has followed our footsteps and the support you have shown us. We would look forward to seeing many of you soon!

    Umm are you kidding me! My boyfriend and I are addicted to you guys and we don't even know you. You have been our inspiration and we follow everything you guys do! We are planning on leaving in August on our RTW trip and seeing this just made us feel…empty. You guys are like our fearless leaders and if you guys quit who are we supposed to look to? Who will be our inspiration? What are we going to hang on to? Greg and Ash – you can't quit – keep going please! Keep going so you can see the rest of what you want to and so we can continue to look up to you guys. Who's footsteps will we follow now??? NOOOOOOOOOOOO

    P.S. This better not be an April Fools joke – that would be mean…

    Inspired Follower – April Fools can be cruel… so sorry to have misled you. Ashley had no knowlegde of my prank and begged me to remove the post once she found out. She is the nice one it turns out! It makes us feel incredible that we are a source of travel inspiration to you two. We have lots of packing info and financial tips should you want it.     Sorry again for the April Fools joke. Ashley was mad at me too… I changed my Facebook status to Single. Good thing we didn't pull any pranks in Cambodia, where they have never heard of the day!

    Whew! That was pretty mean but kind of funny after the fact. I'm glad you guys are still going – we can continue to plan our trip now without the thought of you guys quitting for some unknown reason in the back of our minds. As soon as our website is finished I will have to send it along – you guys have seriously been a really great resource in a way. Oh – yeah – my boyfriend sent you an email a while ago asking about insurance info and other stuff – thanks for responding – that helped a lot. He was the guy that was friends with Sarah Shaws brother…

    Anyways – glad to hear the trip is still on!! Enjoy it!
