Bus service is available and reasonably priced to Chicago via MegaBus from Kansas City (10 hours) and Cincinnati (5.75 hours). Greyhound also services Chicago, but potentially involves multiple transfers and generally costs more.

Chicago is served by two airports. Midway (‘MDW’) is home to the low cost carrier Southwest on the South Side. O’hare (‘ORD’) handles the bulk of other flights on the West Side. Use ‘CHI’ to search for both Chicago airports at once.

Both airports offer inexpensive and frequent public trains to / from downtown Chicago on the CTA.

From O’hare airport, take the blue line and exit at the Monroe stop then head East on Monroe Street to The Palmer House Hilton. If the Hilton Chicago is your destination, exit at Jackson, head East on Jackson Drive, then South on Michigan Avenue.
From Midway airport, take the orange line and exit at the Monroe stop then head West on Monroe Street to The Palmer House Hilton. If the Hilton Chicago is your destination, exit at Jackson, head East on Adams Street, then South on Michigan Avenue.
